You Will Love The Monday

Well it was a Monday when the Lawyer called and said my divorce was a done deal. Short version of the story, she wanted one, I didn't, she put alot of effort into changing my mind(that was a joke). I'll leave it at that until the future post where I go to the corvette store and ask them if they have anything that annoys ex wives. Advise for the youngsters: Love and marriage are two very separate issues, pull your head out of your backside. To any girls shocked I said that in public, ennhh, I'm bitter and cynical get over it.

So after a day like that what does a person need? No... what else do they need? Ok, Ok the third thing they need? That's right a pleasant run. Where can you find such a thing the last week of July you ask? Well lemme tell ya, I got an invite to the Bobby's Monday Cool Weather Three And Western Extravaganza. It was excellent.

It is a 3 mile out and back from the Elwood parking lot. Funny how that distance just happens to coincide with Coach Cathy's Monday homework assignment. First Thing ya notice is...

shade, lots and lots of beautiful shade, the good thick kind, not the cheap kind ya get for a dollar right accross the border in the tourist market place that falls apart the second time you wash it... er sorry. It's gotta be 10 degrees cooler over here. I just couldn't believe it. I think since we're in the shadow of turkey mountain and the trees are thicker, there is a larger mass of cooler air. Hey gimme a break ya don't grow up in Oklahoma and not pick up on some of the meteorlogical type of vernacular. Anyway I gotta say the weather over here reminds me of June.

But you must behave cuz you will be watched:

No BB guns, hawks are cool. Instead bring water cause the fountains are scarce.
Monday nights at 6:00 if ya need to get your monday schedule in, this has got to be as nice as it's gonna get. (Without saying screw it and going to Molly Moos anyhow).
